When I look back over the last couple of years, I try to look at the covid pandemic from a positive angle. The pandemic forced me to make some life changes that ultimately improved the quality of my life a great deal. Being cooped up at home while waiting on the vaccine to be released wasn’t fun, but now I’m vaccinated and things are looking up!
I’ve always been interested in working remotely, but the covid situation forced me to make that happen much more quickly, and I’m grateful for that. Switching to remote work was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. This opened the doors for me to start traveling, expanding my photo collection along the way.
While traveling, I realized that I enjoyed it so much that I didn’t want to stop. Now I’m rearranging more of my life to fit a nomadic lifestyle. This is something that I should have done years ago. It’s been great visiting all these incredible backpacking spots that I’ve only daydreamed about before.
I’m currently writing this blog post from a public library near Portland Oregon, but I plan on heading back to Louisiana soon. I’m going back to sell my home and most of my possessions. The plan is to replace my car with a 4×4 truck and travel trailer to continue my adventures. I’m so excited about the future and look forward to sharing more of my travels soon.
